What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files or pieces of information that can be stored on your computer or other device with Internet connectivity (e.g. smartphone or tablet) when you visit Ottobock’s sites. A cookie typically contains the name of the webpage from which the cookie originated, the “lifetime” of the cookie (i.e. how long the cookie is retained on your device) and a value, which is usually a randomly generated unique number.
How do I manage cookies?
Most browsers are preset to automatically accept cookies. You can change the settings so that cookies are blocked or to receive notifications if cookies are sent to your device. There are several ways of customising your cookie settings. Information and help to change settings can be found in each browser.
If you use different devices to view and visit Ottobock sites (such as your computer, smartphone or tablet), you need to make sure that the browser on each device is set to your preferences regarding cookies.
